n-Dispute

In-Dispute is honored to be a part of such a wonderful production, such as Neon Nights.  We would like to thank the people who worked so hard to make this show happen!  Neon Nights will be missed and we would like to say THANK YOU to Randy Haines Productions for allowing IN-DISPUTE to be the final show stopper for his 14 year ride called Neon Nights.

JJ Freelove:  Born and raised in Washington State.  He taught himself to play guitar at age 15.  There isn’t an instrument that JJ can’t play!  An original member of In-Dispute since he was 20.  He writes and composes many of the band’s original songs.  JJ was also the bass player for Les Richardson from 1994-1996, after which he returned to In-Dispute and he has been rockin’ ever since.

Kevin Evans:   California born, raised in Washington.  Self taught drummer who played his first professional gig with the band Power in 1977.  Kevin writes some of the band’s original music as well.  Kevin was the original drummer for In-Dispute in 1991.  In 1994, he switched to bass guitar for a change of pace and now rocks the stage behind his axe.

Mark Ebel:  Born in California and moved to Washington at age 13.  At age 19 he played drums for the band Copperwood.  In 1987, on the East Coast he played with an original heavy metal rock band called Mol/Dyer for 3 years.  Moved back to the West Coast and played at the Rainbow Tavern as the house band, Southern Accent for 2 years.  He has played in Seattle with the original rock band called Torn. Mark joined In-Dispute in 1996 and has been keeping time like no one else can.

Deborah Evans:  Born in Michigan and raised in San Diego where she did some private studio work.  Deborah moved to Washington in 1990 to get away from the rat race of the big city.  In 1991, Deborah began to jam with Kevin & JJ Freelove…In-Dispute was born!  Deborah is the front woman and the lead singer for the band.  This wild child can sing a wide range of music types, but prefers to rock the stage with In-Dispute.

THE BAND:  Originally formed in the winter of 1991, with a little bit different line up, Reggie Guzman was on bass. In-Dispute was a local band who played gigs in the outlying areas of the Columbia Gorge.  The band took a small hiatus to explore other options in their music.  JJ played with Les Richardson, Kevin & Deborah played with Zero Hour until 1996 when the 3 band members reunited and found an old jamming buddy, Mark.  We played for the Country Showdown in The Dalles, Oregon, and had fun, but realized that we really were all about rock and roll!  So, although we will play a country tune every now and then, we have to put our rock and roll spin on it.  So, for those of you who don’t know In-Dispute…you will.
