 Brian Thompson writes and performs music that makes you want to have fun. From soulful ballads to heavy southern rock, this is a fun group to see live if you get the chance. Known for spoiling the audience with great music and getting the crowd into the show, the Brian Thompson Band is one live act that is actually ALIVE! Brian Thompson plays the bass and is known best for his innovative and flashy overhand fingering techniques. On their debut album "Out of the Darkness" Brian also played guitar and keyboards on many of the tracks. He even played lead guitar on "Leadfoot", a hard driving rocker that tells the tale of kicking your worst habits, but keeping your foot planted firmly on the throttle through life's adventures.

The group's line up starts with Brian Thompson on bass and lead vocals from The Dalles, Oregon. Brian is accomplished musician and recording artist and a veteran of several hard rock bands and country bands that toured the Northwest. He brings an energy and general humor to the stage that can only be described as "entertaining". You just never know what might happen next! But you can bet it will be entertaining. Brian plays several instruments and is the primary singer/songwriter/producer of the group. Then there is Sandy Peterson from The Dalles, Oregon. She is as versatile as they get, playing the Keys, B-3, Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, and Vocals. Sandy gets it done right and covers all the bases. Then there is Justin Merrit on guitar from Parkdale, Oregon. A classical guitarist with extensive depth in both rock and country means that he brings a brilliant artistic element to the group. All this and Justin is only 25 years old. Simply amazing. Justin is currently working on a solo album of brilliant classical guitar work that promises to be an awe inspiring piece of art. This guy is unbelievably talented and does things to a guitar live that should be rated "PG-13". All skill and no ego - a rare and refrehing mix for a guitar player of his caliber. Holding down the beat is Wes Decker from Goldendale, Washington. Wes is a great drummer and quite a showman behind the kit, always hamming it up for the audience and rocking the house with a solid beat. Wes and Brian toured in their first pro bands together, so the history is long and rich, adding to the groups chemistry for live performances. Wes is a lot of fun to play with and a serious entertainer to watch preform.
